CERVIA is a rare survivor. She is the only large, proper ocean-going steam powered tug in the UK.
Currently under restoration, she is part of the Steam Museum Trust and is moored in the beautiful Georgian harbour in Ramsgate. This is some 20 minutes from Preston, and is a surprising, architectural place.
CERVIA is a very heavily built industrial vessel from the last days of the British Empire, and provides a genuine, workmanlike focal point in the harbour. Inside her engine room you will find dramatic machinery - with her massive, working, 1,000 h.p. triple expansion engine she's the real deal!
With a history of film work in days gone by, going back to Monty Python, CERVIA can provide many great backdrops with both her interior and exterior.
